Just thought I'd let you know that the cable protectors arrived safe and well. I can see what you mean when you were confident that my 2 new kittens would probably not like the smell. There's absolutely no way they'll chew any wires with those protectors around it I'm sure!! I get the first one this weekend so not long to find out. I really do feel my wiring is safe now though. Thanks for all your help and super fast delivery. I'll certainly let the breeders of my 2 new kittens know about the product.

These pics show the hinged raceway and flat elbow used to conceal wires from a flat panel wall mount. A "T" is also in use but is concealed by the center speaker hanging from the 42" LCD TV. All the wires from the TV go into the "T" and then run left and down to the floor for hookup into a cable box, a home theater DVD system, and a surge protector outlet strip. The hinged raceway extending to the right above the fireplace is empty. I just put that in to balance the look.

The top left picture is before painting. I think it looks better painted. No primer needed. I put on two coats of flat latex interior paint and it adhered fine.

By the way, the raceway holds two sets of a small gauge speaker wire, one audio component cable with red/white RCA plugs (so it's actually two wires), two pretty beefy HDMI cables, and one power supply cord.
